Kanpur: Rishab Nishad and Sumukhi Shukla won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, in the district-level open chess championship held at the Biotech department of HBTU on Tuesday.At the end of all rounds, Rishab and Prashant Katihar were tied at 6.5 points each, but Rishab emerged winner on a better tie-break score. The championship was organised in open and under-13 categories, with over 200 players participating.
