Jaipur: University of Rajasthan continued their winning march in the ongoing All India Inter-University Handball Men tournament at the University Sports Complex here on Wednesday.The five-day tourney is being organised by the University of Rajasthan Sports Board in which top sixteen teams from across the country are participating.In the Group C outing, hosts outclassed Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla by 11 goals (30-19) to record second straight victory.For University of Rajasthan, Sumit and Dinesh notched up half a dozen goals each, while Mohit contributed five goals.The Group A match between UEM, Jaipur and GNDU, Amritsar ended in an exciting 30-30 draw. At half-time, UEM, Jaipur team was leading 16-13 but Amritsar bounced back after the change of ends to force a draw. Ajay Yadav was the highest scorer for UEM Jaipur with 11 goals, while Shimbu and Mohit scored six goals each for GNDU.In another draw, KAHE, Coimbatore and VBS, Purbanchal ended up with the same score of 39-39 in the Group B encounter. For Purbanchal, Shubham Chouhan excelled with 10 goals.Periyar University, Salem thrashed UOS and Technology, Meghalaya 45-15, courtesy 15-goal effort by Goutam.Annamalai University, Chidambaram swept aside LN Mithila, Darbhanga by 34-24.In another one-sided fixture, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara downed LNIPE, Gwalior 37-27. Saurashtra University, Rajkot edged past Punjab University, Patiala by a couple of points (23-21).Manipur University held VIT Vellore to a draw in the Group A outing.
