Kanpur: Scoring 481 out of 500 marks, Amit Sahu of Paritosh Inter College, Hanspuram in Naubasta emerged as the district topper in the UP Board Class XII examination, results of which were announced on Thursday.With 96.2% of marks, he secured 7th rank in the state.Amit said he did not follow a fixed study schedule but focused on studying with full concentration whenever possible. He aspires to pursue engineering through IIT and build a career as an engineer.He was the only student from the district to feature in the state’s top-10 list. In the district rankings, Anjul of Guruprasad Gayapusad Inter College, Nauranga, secured second place with 95.20%, while Arjun Dixit of RS Education Centre, Barra, stood third with 94.80%.Arpit Kushwaha of ABS Inter College, Dhamna Buzurg, ranked fourth with 94.60%, followed by Rajat Yadav of Maharshi DBL Inter College, Umri, at fifth with 94.40%. Hariom Dwivedi of Paritosh Inter College, Hanspuram, ranked sixth with 93.60%.Janhi of Omkareshwar Inter College, Jawahar Nagar, shared seventh rank with Srushti Bajpei of Paritosh Inter College and Ayush Sachan of ABS Inter College, all scoring 93.40%. The eighth rank was jointly held by Raj Kushwaha of Maharshi DBL Inter College and Shikhar Mishra of Paritosh Inter College with 93.20%.A total of 45,103 students had appeared for the intermediate examination in the district. The exams were conducted from Feb 18 to March 12 across 124 centres under CCTV surveillance.
