4 from Raj in top 20 ofJEE Main, 26 score 100

JAIPUR: In the JEE Main 2026 results released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) Monday, Kabeer Chillar, who prepared for the exam in Kota, secured All India Rank 1 with a perfect NTA score of 100. Chillar originally from Gurugram, appeared for the exam from Rajasthan, as per the release issued by NTA.Three more candidates from Rajasthan who secured an NTA score of 100 include Kota boy Arnav Gautam, who got All India Rank 5, Yashwardhan (AIR 11) and Chiranjib Kar (AIR 20).As per the statement issued by NTA, Shubham Kumar who got AIR 6 with a score of 100, appeared for the exam from Bihar, though he prepared in Kota for two years.A total of 26 students secured an NTA score of 100, of which five each are from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by four from Rajasthan.Chillar only appeared for the JEE Main Session 1 exam. After relocating to Kota from Gurugram in 2024 following his Class 10, Chillar began preparing for JEE. He picked the city for better guidance and national-level competition with peers from across the country. Kabir’s father, Mohit Chillar, is also an IITian and is currently employed with a private company in Delhi-NCR, while his mother, Priyanka Chillar, works as a teacher at a private school.“I adopted a distinct approach to my studies. During self-study, I prioritise both my attention span and the quality of learning. After every test, I conducted a self-analysis and focused intently on the specific areas where I identified my shortcomings. I fine-tuned my study strategy before every examination,” said Chillar.He said he approached each topic by breaking it into smaller parts, making short notes, and revising regularly.From Jaipur, five students secured ranks in the top 100, including Shresth Jasoria (AIR 30), Prakhar Sharma (AIR 38), Ruchit Agrawal (AIR 48), Lakshit Sinsinwar (AIR 73), and Bhavya Garg (AIR 81).Daksh Sehra from Jaipur secured an NTA score of 99.99 and became the national topper in the ST category. From the state, Jatin Kumar and Anuj Meena, with an NTA score of 99.97, were also in the top five in the country for the ST category.Under the OBC-NCL category, Aditya Saran and Prince Chaudhary from the state were also in the top five with an NTA score of 99.99.Among female toppers, Saumyaa Gupta and Arohi Deshpande from the state got an NTA score of 99.99 and were among the top five from across the country.Hailing from Odisha, Kar also prepared for the exam in Kota and moved to the city in 2024.“After my Class 10, I came to Kota and since then I have been studying here. My love for physics made the preparation journey easy, and the environment here helped a lot,” said Kar.
