During the camp, Abhinav Tiwari, civil judge (Senior Division) and secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Kanpur Nagar, informed the convicted inmates present at the camp of their constitutional and legal rights, and urged them to be aware of their legal entitlements.The secretary listened to the grievances of the inmates and informed them in the event of any legal difficulties encountered while filing an appeal before the High Court, convicted prisoners should notify the District Legal Services Authority, Kanpur Nagar or submit a written application through the superintendent of the District Jail, Kanpur Nagar. Assurances were given that appropriate action would be taken in response.The jail superintendent has been directed to forward a list of those inmates whose cases can be resolved through the E-Jail Lok Adalat or Jail Lok Adalat to the District Legal Services Authority, Kanpur Nagar, so as to facilitate the expeditious disposal of their cases.Legal aid was provided to those inmates whose bail petitions had been disposed of by the subordinate courts..
