Kanpur: Raipurwa police on Wednesday night registered a case against eight persons from Chamanganj under several serious charges, including an attempt to murder, for critically injuring a six-year-old boy.According to police, the incident occurred on Apr 20 at around 10.00pm when a local resident, identified as Pintu, in an inebriated state, forced the child to sit in an e-rickshaw, performed stunts, pushed him off the moving vehicle, and later ran the wheels over him.The child was later taken to a hospital by e-rickshaw owner, Dheeraj and his wife.According to his mother, the accused also threatened to kill her if she filed a police complaint.Raipurwa inspector, Ajay Singh, said that on the basis of the written complaint, a case was registered against Pintu Pilot, Dheeraj, his wife and five unidentified persons under charges of attempt to murder, intimidation, rioting and other sections, and efforts were being made to arrest them.
