Kanpur: A 26-year-old man was found hanging in a rented room in Munishwar Awasthi Nagar, in Rasulabad area of Kanpur Dehat on Sunday morning.According to police, the deceased, a resident of village Chelawan, Police station Kanena, Mahendragarh, Haryana was posted as a branch post master at the post office located in village Viruhun in the Rasulabad area of Kanpur Dehat.The deceased’s friend who stayed in the same building informed the police that the two had dinner late Saturday, and went to their rooms.On Sunday morning, he found the deceased’s room locked from inside. After receiving no response despite calling out multiple times, he informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and broke open the door, and found the deceased hanging from a fan hook. with the help of a muffler.Inspector Sudhir Kumar stated that the cause of suicide could not be ascertained. “The family members have been informed,” inspector added.
