Kanpur: In view of the extreme heat conditions, the district administration on Thursday ordered revised school timings for all the govt and private institutions from primary to Class XII, irrespective of their board affiliation.As per the directive, schools will now operate from 7.30am to 12.30pm to safeguard the students from the intense midday heat.District magistrate, Jitendra Pratap Singh, said that the decision has been taken in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority.He added that specific timings have also been fixed for 81 identified schools to ensure smooth traffic management during dispersal hours.In an official statement, the DM directed all the concerned authorities to ensure strict adherence to the revised schedule.
