Kanpur: Three people, including a nine-year-old boy, were killed when a speeding bike lost control and hit a divider on the Kanpur-Aligarh Highway in the Shivrajpur area of Kanpur on Thursday morning. All three were riding on the same bike.The accident occurred around 7.30 am above the Dubiyaana underpass. Police said the rider dozed off after staying awake all night, causing the bike to lose control and collide with the divider.The deceased were identified as Vinod Nishad (45), his brother-in-lawтАЩs son, Piyush (9) and his neighbour, Ramnarayan Nishad(52). All three were residents of Bakarganj village under the Bithoor police station area. Police said both went to perform `bhajan-kirtanтАЩ in a pre-wedding function in Bilhaur on Wednesday night and were returning home in the morning.Police reached the accident spot and sent the injured to the hospital, where the doctors declared two dead on arrival, while the boy, who was critically injured, died during treatment.Shivrajpur police station in-charge, Amit Singh said that all three bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Necessary legal action is being taken in the matter.
