JAIPUR: RIICO has slashed timelines for a range of plot-related approvals across its industrial areas, including cutting power of attorney intimation from 15 days to one day, as part of a push to simplify procedures and improve the investor environment.A revised circular directs heads of industrial zones to clear applications within newly reduced time limits for approvals such as changes in company directors, changes in organisational structure (private to public limited or vice versa), plot mergers, permissions to avail loans, and company name changes.RIICO has moved these services online through the stateтАЩs single sign-on (SSO) portal to make the process тАЬstreamlined and transparent.тАЭ Allottees in RIICO industrial zones require multiple approvals at different stages of project development.Processing time for intimation of factory construction stages has been reduced from three days to one day. тАЬOnce geo-tagged photographs are uploaded, the application will be deemed approved within a day,тАЭ a RIICO official said.Timelines for environmental approvals, intimation of lease deed registration, and reporting completion of mortgage formalities have also been cut from three days to one day.Applications for sub-letting or sub-leasing of plots will now be processed within three days, down from seven days.For entrepreneurs seeking extensions to set up industrial units within the stipulated timeframe, RIICO will now require тАЬproper justification, geo-tagged photographs, and supporting documents.тАЭ Disposal time for extension requests has been reduced from 15 days to 10 days.RIICO has also shortened timelines for cases including amalgamation through court orders, plot transfers due to death, gift deeds, sale transactions, and subdivision transfers.
